The Reality of Female Entrepreneurs in Yemen during the War- Opportunities and Challenges

This paper aims to present a study on the reality of businesses owned by women in Yemen. In this attempt, it will review the most prominent challenges and opportunities for female entrepreneurs in the current context of Yemen, thereby taking dierent types of businesses into consideration as well as the women’s motivations to start their businesses. The paper also presents a set of recommendations to improve the business environment for female entrepreneurs, which should be considered an essential part in the construction and development process of Yemen.
